DC37, city's largest labor union, strikes $1.75 billion contract deal

ERIN DURKIN

The city’s largest labor union, District Council 37, has reached a deal for a $1.75 billion new contract.

The deal will include 10% in raises over seven years, officials announced Wednesday.

DC37, which represents more than 120,000 city workers across a host of agencies, has been working without a contract since 2010.

“It is long overdue,” de Blasio said of the new deal. “We’ve come to an agreement that we feel is very strong.”
