Iris Weinshall named C.O.O. of New York Public Library

Dana Rubinstein

Former city transportation commissioner Iris Weinshall will soon have a new job.

The New York Public Library announced today that Weinshall will serve as its chief operating officer, starting Sept. 1.

She will be leaving the City University of New York, where she now serves as vice chancellor of facilities planning, management, and construction.

Weinshall, Chuck Schumer's wife, was also recently elected chair of the Prospect Park Alliance.

... under Boomberg the m$m always managed to avoid mentioning she was Schumer's wife. In other words... a patronage appointee.

Boy I wish I had THAT kind of influence. Control of gov't AND media. ( I'd settle for one or the other.)

More of the same under di Blasio: one party state: the MONEY Party.
