MTA To Expand M & G Service, Restore Five Bus Routes

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is expanding service on the M and G lines.

The agency plans to extend M service from Metropolitan Avenue in Queens to Essex and Delancey Streets in Manhattan on weekends.

The MTA says the move will speed up trips for riders and cut down on their transfers.

The agency also plans to increase G train service between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. on weekdays.
