Cuomo signs bills to help veterans

Gov. Andrew Cuomo today signed a bill that will help veterans and their families.

The new laws are the culmination of a veterans’ summit Cuomo held near the Capitol in March and will help veterans and their families when they move as a result of their service.

The laws allow for in-state public college tuition for veterans receiving benefits under the GI bill and offers military families greater flexibility with professional licenses received in other states. Another law will bolster the supplemental burial assistance available families when a servicemember dies in combat or as a result of injuries.

4. when they started these wars of choice the lea see t they could have done is prepare for the

veterans. But the feds and states had other priorities at the time.

Just shameful.

Our government has fully prepared for the post war veteran's issues. So sad.

6. Doubt it will ever change but at least NY is stsrying to do the right thing.
