Firm looking to build $750M casino in upstate NY has faced racial discrimination complaints and lawsuits in other states

ALBANY - A mega-developer looking to build a $750 million casino resort in upstate New York has been repeatedly accused of racial discrimination in other states, the Daily News has learned.
Baltimore-based The Cordish Companies has been hit with discrimination complaints and lawsuits claiming it used restrictive dress codes and other methods to exclude minorities from entertainment venues in at least three cities.
One of the venues was 4th Street Live in Louisville, Ky. It was definitely a place that African-Americans did not feel welcome, said Amber Duke of the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky.
Duke said Cordishs dress code which banned excessively long shirts and sagging pants sparked so many complaints that the ACLU and other social justice organizations in Kentucky pressed the company to make changes.
