Democrat Zephyr Teachout cast her ballot in the gubernatorial Primary Tuesday morning, saying she's confident she can beat heavy favorite Andrew Cuomo.
"You know I'm running to win," said Teachout as she walked into P.S. 20 in Clinton Hill Brooklyn at 7 a.m. "We need new direction in this state."
"It's a glorious morning," Teachout said. "I'm feeling fantastic."
Teachout spent a few minutes thanking pollworkers in the school's gymnasium before casting her vote at 7:05 a.m. and walking out to a round of applause.

Filling in the oval for himself gave Tim Wu a high.
"That feels great," the lieutenant governor candidate said after casting his ballot Tuesday morning. "It really does feel great."
Wu said he felt like he was in the final lap of a marathon Tuesday morning, when he voted at P.S. 33 in Chelsea with his wife, Kate Judge.
