A majority of New Yorkers say life in the Empire State is better with Andrew Cuomo as Governor.

Fifty-one percent of New Yorkers in a new Siena College poll believes New York State improved during Cuomo's nine-years as governor. 39 percent believe the state is worse with Cuomo as governor.

“Voters say Cuomo has put New York on the right track on protecting the rights of all New Yorkers, providing children with a quality public education and ensuring accessibility to affordable quality health care," Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg said.

It didn't die without a fight and there was at least a bit of positive movement.

New York lawmakers reportedly worked until the last minute to pass a marijuana legalization bill, but they couldn’t come to an agreement over some details, including how tax revenue from cannabis should be used.

It's one of the bills I was hoping would pass and was miffed that it didn't. I'm sure it will come up again next year though and hopefully our lawmakers will have worked things out and it will finally be legalized.

and he has been a big part of the blame for NY not progressing the last several years when he sided with the Independent Dems who traitorously joined the Cons taking away the Dem majority the people voted for. After the last election, the turncoats (most of them) were booted giving majority back to the Dems and Andrew, finger in the wind, then backed the Dems again. I also blame him for a lot of the subway problems because technically, as head of the port authority he determines what is what and his management has been terrible. He is now thinking of firing the new guy they hired to fix the subway. He's a showboater and untrustworthy.
