NY Legislature releases roll call from Board of Regents vote

ALBANY >> The state Legislature has released the individual votes of members in this week’s election of Board of Regents members.
The outcome of the voting on Tuesday was never in doubt, but legislative staffers said the roll call was withheld until late Thursday so the results could be double-checked.
Votes in the state Senate and Assembly typically are tabulated electronically, but because Tuesday action occurred during a joint session of the two chambers, a voice vote was needed, slowing the release of the roll call information.
The vote resulted in Regents Christine Cea, James Cottrell and Wade Norwood being re-elected and Sullivan County lawyer Josephine Victoria Finn being elected to fill the seat of James Jackson, who was not on the ballot.
