Heath Tortarella and Gary Kenton won seats on the Rhinebeck Village Board Tuesday, a day on which elections were held in villages across the region.
Democrat Tortarella, who has been serving as the villages appointed mayor since James Reardon resigned, drew 164 votes. Kenton, on the Independence Party line, received 131.
Democrat Brant Neuneker, who had announced he would not serve if elected, was out of the running with 58 votes.
Village Board terms are two years.

In what may be the last election in the village of Greenwich, Pam Fuller and incumbent Tim Taylor won seats Tuesday night on the Board of Trustees.
Fuller led all candidates with 154 votes, Taylor received 112, and Dennis D.J. McDonald had 35 votes. During the campaign, George Casey, husband of board member Dorothea Casey, wrote letters to local newspapers pointing out McDonald was arrested in a domestic violence case. The charges, which were dismissed, should have been sealed.
At the new boards first meeting, which will be April 14, it will set a date for a vote on dissolution, according to Mayor David Doonan. A petition by village voters is being reviewed by the village clerk and, if it has the proper number of valid signatures, a vote will be held on dissolution.
