Anthony Weiner: Cuomo s puzzling war on de Blasio

When we see politicians not getting along, it’s rarely that hard to figure out why: strong ideological disagreement, similar ambitions, regional rivalry or some slight invisible to the outside world but somehow in violation of the perceived protocol of the jungle law of politics.

I know. Like any elected official, I had my share of scrapes and irritated my share of colleagues.

But why does Gov. Cuomo seem to be going out of his way to jam up Mayor de Blasio, even as both claim they’re good friends who are laying the groundwork for a historically productive relationship? It’s a head scratcher.
