After senators and representatives were sworn into office, the House and Senate and their respective Republican and Democratic caucuses quickly named their leaders.

Sen. Phil Berger, R-Rockingham, was elected by acclamation to his second term as Senate president pro tem, as was Rep. Thom Tillis, R-Mecklenburg, as House speaker.

Typical Repig formula. When they say "tax reform" - that means middle class is in for a major screwing.Duke Energy's tax bill will be $0.00 - you can count on that.

As I understand it, they intend to privatize most schools, gut the public school system by eliminating most public funding, eliminate all environmental regulations, make birth control and abortion unobtainable, and eliminate early voting, same-day registration & voting, and implement any and all of ALEC's other model bills, including voter ID.

And I'm sure they've lots of other nasty surprises up their sleeves too. Besides doubled state taxes, our utility/power bills will likely double. Nothing to stop them.

NC is the next Michigan, Arizona, or Wisconsin.

Oh. Forgot to mention cuts to unemployment and Medicare, as well as refusal, like other states, to implement certain provisions of "Obamacare", hurting those who need it most, of course.

Gonna be a real Jesse Helms style gang rape party. Hoo boy.
