John Kasich Was Against Poor People Before He Was for Them

1. K & R. Excellent MoJo article on Kasich. For shame, harming workers and the poor

even more with tax breaks for the rich, but for ordinary people sales tax increases and cuts to essential public safety and local community services. What a shame for Ohioans.

Kasich is of blue collar and immigrant heritage and has been conservative since his youth, but is full on ultra right and scary. Those lucrative stock option salary bonuses in the hundreds of thousands of dollars from 2001-2008 when he worked as an investment banker at Lehman Bros. of Wall Street must have made a real impact.

2. I've got a couple of middle-of the-road friends and coworkers who mostly vote for Democrats...

and they all think Kasich is moderate and a decent guy. I've got my work cut out for me... it's never-ending!

3. I don't envy you in having to inform contacts about the unpleasant side of Kasich.

Often quality news articles are more effective and objective than I am in trying to let folks know the truth about politics, health and other sensitive issues. All the best with your efforts! I grew up on the banks of the Ohio river in WVa and have very good memories of that time.
