Woman calls police on boy who was just excited over the Browns getting Odell Beckham Jr.

Seriously????

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Shaker Heights police got an interesting call Tuesday night after the Browns announced they acquired receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from the Giants.

Police, who did not immediately have the age of the boy in question, received a “frantic” 911 call shortly before 8:30 p.m. about a boy running up and down the street yelling and screaming, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

2. To be fair

being excited about the Browns in recent years has been a sign of severe delusions.

7. There's gonna be a LOT of excitement this year, Browns are suddenly freaking LOADED

They're at 17-1 odds to win the SB right now, which around 10th highest (out of 32 teams).

Baker Mayfield has turned that team around, people wanna play for 'em now. If Kareem Hunt gets back in the league (Browns signed him) they're gonna be downright scary.

3. "Football Fran"? 📞📱🤦

Snip--"Officers found the boy in the street who told them he was celebrating the fact that the Cleveland Browns acquired Beckham.

After everyone shared a few moments of celebration, the boy agreed to quiet down and go home, Shaker Heights Police Commander John Cole said. He resumed his festivities without bothering the neighbors.

The woman stayed in the car with her children until police arrived and the situation was under control."

Neighbor woman is a bad neighbor and an asshole.

4. Yeah, that was my take, irisblue.

A "frantic" call? C'mon.

6. I don't know. If I saw/heard a kid running, jumping up and down, screaming, I'd call the cops....

no matter what the kid's color of skin.

How 'bout you?

8. Did the idea of ACTUALLY TALKING to the boy not occur to anyone ?

Talk about knee-jerk reactions . . . .

Fer instance, if I just won the Lotto, I'd prolly be running up and down the street, too. Probably naked, with a bottle of Taittinger in one hand and a smokeable substance in the other. Screaming at the top of my lungs.

People need to get a grip. Not everything is the end of the world.

on "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" on NPR. It sounded pretty funny there.
