He did this with the blessing of his boss so he can keep his Susan Collins-esque credentials. So the Beltway press will continue to gush about how ethical he is and what a good man he is. 
He also released a statement that was published in our local paper in opposition to Biden's infrastructure program. Too costly!!!!!! And condemned the $300 unemployment payment. Keeping those lazy bums from working!!!!!! No worries. His BFF, Mikey, is making sure those payments will go away cuz we in Ohio like our poor REALLY poor and desperate.
