Whoo! Hoo! Our Oregon ballots arrived in the mail today!

Lane County.

My wife is in Bend today, coming home tomorrow morning. We'll carefully fill in the little circles and get the results into a drop box tomorrow or Sunday.

Will feel great to have two more national votes in for the President, to send Pete Defazio back for 2 more years, and to say NO on a couple of squirrelly measures.

I can't wait to vote for our President and our great member of Congress - Pete DeFazio. When I moved from Texas to Oregon 5 years ago after my grandson was born here in Eugene, I knew it would be different. What I didn't realize at the time was how wonderful it is to live in a blue state with politicians who actually care about their constituents. After a couple of decades of living under Republican rule in Texas where the best you can hope for from the politicians is that they won't make things too much worse, it's refreshing to have a wonderful caring Mayor, two excellent Senators, and Pete DeFazio in Congress.

OK, time to vote!
