Charlie Dent resigns (in May)

Dent decided not to serve out the balance of his term. I was listening to MSNBC report on it and Garrett Hawke, the congressional reporter, was going on and on about Dent being a moderate R until Hallie Jackson, I think it was, pointed out the Dent rarely voted against any bill his party put forward. Hawke had to admit that was true. Thanks, Hallie!

1. "Moderate Republican" these days means they're not constantly spouting racial epithets.

Or threatening to nuke foreign countries.

4. Exactly! They vary in veneer. According to 538, which posts voting

records, though, there is some difference in % of time that they vote with Trump's position (Rand Paul is by far the lowest, at around 70%). Not enough difference to truly qualify as moderates, IMHO.

3. Dent is the kind of R Dems could work with to produce

bi-partisan bills, but he never bucked either the party or the leadership. He's certainly not in the same class as Jim Jordan and his ilk.

5. How the 15th District is changed on the new map

Rough demo showing the 15th district (old) and how it's now split between the 7th, 9th and 10th Districts (new).
