Woman shot in the back during failed deer poaching - Schuylkill County

A deer poaching incident gone bad resulted in Kimberly Kokinda being shot in the back on Sunday night. As of Monday morning, she was still recovering from her injuries.

I particularly liked the comment after the article by John Lewis:

"There'd better DAMN WELL be charges filed at some point very soon. I don't give a shit that the woman got hurt while breaking the law. Her injury does no absolve these bottom-feeders of wrongdoing or make them immune from punishment and due process of law. Poaching is a dirty, filthy crime that endangers people, senselessly wounds and kills animals and gives legitimate sportsmen a bad name. These maggots were using a .22 - VIOLATION! They were hunting at night - VIOLATION!. They were hunting from a vehicle - VIOLATION! They were using a semi-auto rifle -VIOLATION! They had a loaded gun inside a vehicle -VIOLATION! They were hunting deer on a Sunday - VIOLATION! In addition, they obviously had improper or no licenses and may well have been targeting deer on private or restricted property and also within a safety zone - MORE violations. .22 ammunition is grossly inadequate for big game hunting, resulting in miserable suffering for the poor animals that are often wounded by these filthy creeps. Claiming that the crime was committed for food does not change the fact that their actions were just that; CRIMES. THROW THE BOOK AT THEM NOW or they'll be back out there next week."

Well, I see his point (the commenter), though grossly and callously stated. nt Xipe Totec Jan 2015 #1

There are so many violations there, and the story indicates that there have been no charges filed yet.

The next commenter also had a great comment: "So, she is involved in illegal activity and gets smacked by the karma stick." I do not wish for anyone to be shot, but karma can get you.

was taken to St. Lukes Bethlehem, I would assume that it was Penn Star took her there. Cost is roughly $15,000.00 give or take.

Anyone care to guess who is going to pay for that flight?
