SEPTA announces fares hikes on trains, buses

It will cost more to ride the buses and rails.

SEPTA has announced proposed fare hikes to take effect July 1.

The agency called the increases "modest," and said they would span "across all modes of travel and methods of payment."

Single-ride tickets will increase from $2.25 to $2.50, while tokens and discounted single rides with Key will rise from $1.80 to $2, the agency announced Friday.

That's still not a bad deal. Third party sellers already charge two bucks a token. It is what it is.
