Michelle Obama tells women in Philly WH life was like 'being shot from a cannon'

Michelle Obama confessed that the White House was wearying during an appearance before thousands of convention-goers at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women in Center City Tuesday, but the former first lady stayed largely away from politics and the current president.

“The last eight to ten years I felt like I was just running. It felt like being shot out of a cannon,” Michelle Obama said. “I was trying to develop initiatives and keep the girls’ lives normal. It was a constant feeling of not doing enough.”

Currently, she’s working on completing a book which should be released “around this time next year.”

The former first lady also commented on the carnage in Las Vegas: “My heart goes out to the victims and their families.”

Even though Obama gained popularity in 2004 after his speech, I'd be most people didn't know who Michelle Obama was.

Imagine going from being able to walk down the street and nobody knows who you are, to being the first lady of the United States.
