3. I don't mean to be ungrateful but December?

That is a really long time from now especially in political lives.

4. Not quite sure how the procedures work in the state legislature in South Carolina.

But when I was watching Chris Hayes and Steve Kornacki (subbing for Rachel Maddow) yesterday, the interviews done on this mentioned something about how it was about the next session of the legislature (?) and how the first time a new bill could be acted upon would be in January, so he would have to introduce it or get it ready to introduce - in December.

Not sure about all that, though. And I don't know how it works in South Carolina.

7. Sounds like Legislators in SC

don't do much legislating, doesn't it? I would have thought there would be a fall session.

8. Their schedule

Supposed to meet from mid-January to end if June but they don't really wrap up until July or so, but no new matters can come up after May. So, next year is earliest it can be introduced.

6. I wrote him an email to let him know

that I appreciate his gesture. I tried calling him, but I couldn't get an answer. I think we need to let them know when we approve of what they do, as well as when we disapprove. I called my own Representative a day or two ago to ask for this kind of legislation. Guess I'll call him again and ask him to get on board with Brannon.
