Bredesen vs Blackburn debate watch parties

Here are a few that I know of...one is the "official" event hosted by the campaign at the debate venue, Cumberland University in Lebanon; one is sponsored by TN Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition at Casa Azafran, Nashville; and the third is at Vanderbilt Medical School. Please feel free to post others you may know about.

2)Join TIRRC Votes at Casa Azafran ( 2195 Nolensville Pike) on Tuesday, September 25th at 5:30 PM for a live screening of the first televised debate between candidates for the U.S. Senate - Phil Bredesen (D) and Marsha Blackburn (R). You can hear from the candidates and learn about what you can do to protect immigrant families, defend our values, and turn the tide in Tennessee!

Before and after the debate, we'll be offering updates on immigration policy and a volunteer training on how you can get involved with TIRRC Votes to help turn out pro-immigrant voters this November! At the event, you’ll be able to learn more and sign up for volunteer shifts for our upcoming Get Out the Vote Campaign! Learn how you can text friends and potential voters to remind them of important voting deadlines, call your neighbors and share why it’s important to vote, and walk door to door to share with potential voters why you support TIRRC Votes!

Our next US Senator will vote on whether or not young, undocumented immigrants who have had some stability in their lives because of DACA, will have the chance to apply for citizenship - or be at risk of deportation; they’ll vote on whether to allow the administration to rip apart families at the border or close our doors on refugees fleeing violence. The stakes are so high.

Join us on Tuesday and don’t hesitate to invite your friends! Here’s a link to the Facebook Event so that you can RSVP today! https://www.facebook.com/events/536347220123576/
