Nashville presidential debate still set to be in person after Miami debate canceled

Despite the second presidential debate being canceled on Friday, the third and final presidential debate will take place as scheduled in Nashville later this month.

The Oct. 22 debate at Belmont University is still on and both candidates have agreed to participate, the Commission on Presidential Debates said in an emailed statement Friday.

Belmont University president Bob Fisher on Wednesday said he felt "peace" about the upcoming debate the university has invested significant time and money into hosting.

Explaining that he would defer to guidance from the debate commission and their health partners, Fisher said he was unsure if there would be a live audience for the final event, but if so, "it's going to be small."

than holding an 'impartial' debate on the grounds of a school so evangelically conservative as to fire their successful soccer coach because she turned out to be a lesbian... and pregnant to boot! Horrors!!
