Drunk Texan kills himself while playing with gun

Drunk Texan kills himself while playing with gun

A drunken Houston man shot himself in the head Thursday morning as he played with a gun in the parking lot of a local business, police said.

The man’s name has not yet been released, but The Houston Chronicle noted that the shooting took place around 2:30 a.m.

Witnesses claimed he was showing off the gun, a revolver, before pointing it at his head and pulling the trigger several times. It did not fire.

Then the man apparently decided to tempt fate once more. Witnesses reportedly said he put the gun to his head for a fourth and final time, pulling the trigger and sending a bullet into his brain.

He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital shortly thereafter.

I know it's tragic, but if you can't laugh at the stupidity- we'd all have to sit and cry.

I'm glad he killed only himself and not an innocent bystander.

He probably would have been better off taking his chances on fending off those huge gangs of gun-toting hoodlums roaming the streets everywhere we hear so much about without a gun...he'd probably still be alive today, but because he just had to have a gun...dead.
