Davis video attacks Abbott over pay equity
AUSTIN — State Sen. Wendy Davis' gubernatorial campaign released a new web video Thursday focused on equal pay in Attorney General Greg Abbott's state agency, continuing the campaign's steady drumbeat of criticism on an issue that has become a hot topic in the governor's race.
The video, which highlights a San Antonio Express-News story from last weekthat detailed gender pay levels in the attorney general's office, comes one day after Senate Democrats asked Lt. Gov David Dewhurst to task a committee to study pay equity at state agencies.
The Abbott campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
