Controversial Texas Tech cheerleader, huntress kills alligator in new YouTube show

A Texas Tech University cheerleader who drew ire online in June after posting pictures from a hunting trip to Africa on her Facebook fan page has launched her own hunting show on YouTube.

The premiere episode of "Game On," sponsored by Remington Arms Company and posted Oct. 21, follows Kendall Jones and friend Taylor Altom as they hunt and kill an alligator with a .22-caliber rifle before harvesting it in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

"Can't wait for my boots and handbag! Should be coming in the mail any day now," Jones said in a Facebook post Wednesday.

Jones drew outrage this summer after posting several photos on Facebook of leopards, lions, and elephants she killed on an African hunting trip. Facebook deleted the photos.

Probably more alligators than deer in Florida. Might be the same in LA. She seems to be making use of the animal.

BTW, deer season opens this Saturday in Texas. Weather looks good with lower temps!

We ALL kill to live. ALL of us.

"Jones previously stated on Facebook that she signed a contract to air an eight episode series on the Sportsman Channel.

A Sportsman Channel spokesman said Tuesday that Jones and the network had been in talks for a show, but no agreement surfaced."

She seems to be a point person for an attempt to make hunting attractive to younger generations, where recruitment levels have been weak for some time. I don't think it will work. Enjoy your 15 minutes of notoriety, Ms. Jones.
