Clown with chainsaw reportedly seen near San Marcos apartments
San Marcos — Sanctuary Lofts, a San Marcos apartment complex, is increasing security patrols in coordination with police after someone reported seeing a chainsaw-toting individual dressed as a clown Tuesday evening.
According to an email sent out Wednesday by Sanctuary Lofts management to residents, no one was harmed in the incident. The San Marcos Police Department responded to the report and is handling the investigation.
Apartment managers advised residents to look through the peepholes of their doors before opening it for any individual, and asked them to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
San Marcos police are also investigating a Monday evening incident in which they say someone dressed in a clown costume assaulted a Texas State University student outside of Bobcat Village, a university apartment complex.
