More than 1,000 join Women's March on Border in El Paso

Despite the rain and cold, more than 1,000 protesters rallied, marched and made themselves heard through the Segundo Barrio and Downtown El Paso in Saturday's Women's March on the Border.

There was no single political demand at the march. Instead, organizers wanted to show solidarity with women, migrants, the disabled, victims of gender violence and others.

"It is a march for humanity," said Xochitl Nicholson, one of the organizers of the march. "Women deserve equality. Gender justice is racial justice is economic justice."

Nicholson said she marched for her daughter.
