East Texas judge doubles down on 'a million fat women,' calls protests 'a hissy fit'

An East Texas judge wrote, and later deleted, a post on Facebook on Monday that referred to the people who marched in nationwide protests Saturday as "a million fat women" — and later called the demonstrations "nothing more than a hissy fit."

"Just think about this," wrote Judge Bailey Moseley, who serves on Texas' 6th Court of Appeals in Texarkana. "After just one day in office, Trump managed to achieve something that no one else has been able to do: he got a million fat women out walking."

The post was not removed from his Facebook page Monday afternoon.

Millions of people — women and men of all sizes — took part in the Women's March on Saturday, in part to protest Trump but also to support equality, inclusion and women's rights. Crowds around the world totaled between 3.4 million and 4.9 million, according to researchers at the University of Connecticut and the University of Denver.
