Complaints planned against area judge after social media post on women's march
A Longview Democratic women's group is poised to file complaints this week against state Judge Bailey Moseley, who called them and other participants of Saturday's women's marches fat in a social media post.
Nationwide, 3.2 million men and women marched Saturday against President Trump's agenda, according to the online news and culture site, FiveThirtyEight. That included about 50,000 in Austin, where 39 members of Democratic Women of East Texas joined.
The Texas march participants took advantage of the Jan. 10 start of the 85th Legislative Session to speak out for imperiled children in state foster care, disabled people who fear their Medicaid is in jeopardy this session and the rights of LGBT community members in the so-called bathroom bill and other issues.
Moseley, a Republican judge on the Sixth Court of Appeals in Texarkana, wrote about the marches on his Facebook page.
