NJ teen sentenced in threats to Sul Ross State University, former Congressman Gallego
A New Jersey teenager was sentenced to time served and five years of probation after he pleaded guilty to making threats against Sul Ross State University, Big Bend Regional Medical Center and a former congressman.
Nicholas Kyle Martino, 17, was sentenced to probation in Midland on Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to four counts of making interstate threats in February.
Martino, of Sewell, Washington Township, N.J., asked to be prosecuted as an adult at a hearing Feb. 15, U.S. Attorney's Office officials said.
Martino has been in custody since Dec. 1. He was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge Robert A. Junell in Midland.
