Authorities clear Austin bombing suspect's home of explosives

Pflugerville police Chief Jessica Robledo on Wednesday asked residents who have been evacuated from a neighborhood to head to their local library or recreation center until 9 p.m. while bomb experts continue to investigate the home of suspected bomber Mark Conditt.

Robledo said authorities evacuated everyone within a five-block radius on Wednesday as authorities found additional homemade explosives inside the home in the 400 block of North 2nd Street.

ATF Special Agent in Charge on Houston Field division Fred Milanowski said agents found homemade explosives and bomb components in one room of the house, but no completed devices.

Agents are still scouring the property for any additional hazardous materials or evidence. Milanowski said the ATF has a high degree of certainty that the same components were used in all of the bombs in Austin since the beginning of March.
