The seat flipped back in 2008

DeLay won the primary and then dropped out sort of like Collins. The GOP tried to replace him and we sued and force the GOP to run a write in candidate who lost. The district was very read back then.

Today the district is far less red and has a decent number of Asian voters

The fact that the GOP has not replaced Collins on the ballot is interesting. Ballots for overseas military voters need to be prepared soon and the Democrats can tie up any attempt to replace Collins for sufficient time to keep him from being replaced.
