Sean Hannity and Ted Cruz rail against Beto O'Rourke at Houston rally

Fox News host Sean Hannity and former Gov. Rick Perry unloaded on Democratic Rep. Beto O'Rourke and national Democrats Saturday at a rally here for Sen. Ted Cruz, with the senator also taking the stage to continue framing his race as one with clear ideological choices.

During his red meat-heavy stump speech, Hannity adopted a nickname for O'Rourke – Bozo – and accused Democrats of lacking a plan "to help the forgotten men and women in this country."

"They want to go backwards into the failed policies of [Barack] Obama," Hannity told a packed crowd in the ballroom of the Hilton DoubleTree hotel on East Greenway Plaza. "They are hiding what they really want to do: They want to impeach Donald Trump. Beto, Bozo, wants to do it himself."

Ahead of Cruz's Monday rally here with Trump, Hannity lauded the two Republicans for passing "the biggest tax cut in American history."

Ted must be losing since he has to call out for reinforcements.

First thing this morning going to vote for Beto, and oust corrupt liar ted cruz, who is with all other republicans who'll destroy Social Security for trump , along with all health care , and social programs we pay for. We have to retake BOTH houses for our own protection from dictator putin and wanna be dictator weak on russia and the UEA trump. No more corruption , no more lying to the American people, and no more putin by electing people not scared to stand up to him and trump now like ted cruz is.
