My mother (a Trump supporter in Texas) shared this on Facebook
Any truth to any of it?
Shared this from a friend: Two tips for making your vote count this year in Texas: 1. DO NOT vote Tues Oct 13 - Mon Oct 19. DO vote Tues Oct 20 - Fri Oct 30. 2. DO NOT vote straight-ticket. DO vote for each individual candidate, even if you are voting all for one party. The governor has extended early voting by one week, so that it will begin a week earlier. The governor is being sued for this. If a court finds that extending early voting is illegal, and you have voted during that time, then your vote could potentially be contested. It is safer to vote during early voting when your vote is less likely to be contested. It is also safer to avoid the polls on Election Day for various reasons. Also, a Texas judge has stated that Texas cannot prevent people from voting a straight-party ticket. If we do have a straight-party ticket option and this option is contested as unfair, then your vote could potentially be thrown out if you take the straight-party option. It is safer to vote for each candidate individually regardless of whether you will be voting straight-party. *copied and shared from a friend COPY AND PASTE ....

1. I agree with your mom since she's just stating the plain facts.
There's probably lots of ways we disagree, but facts are facts

8. Yes, somewhat paranoid, but these are strange times.
Things that never could have happened are happening more and more frequently and that will only increase until we remove drumpf.

9. It's impossible to vote a straight ticket because of the way the ballot is printed. All the races..
Are listed individually..

Dan Patricvk's kid got voted out as judge in Houston in 2016 and so there is no straight ticket voting. one cannot vote straight ticke if they tried to

7. It's not that you can't vote straight ticket
It's that there's no longer a box for voting that way, you have to vote in each race. Likely because it will take each voter longer so it will increase wait times to vote which they hope will discourage people from voting.

10. our Democratic party chair (and others) think it was an attempt to keep the Democrats
from voting the down ballot. I think it will hurt them as much as it does us, if not more.
