Not voting has consequences. And when you stay home because you don’t think a school board election is a big deal, you’re faced with the results of people with white supremacist ideology making educated decisions for your child. So, Texas, we have to do better with voter turnout, especially in local elections.

Many members of the community are now demanding Scott Henry resign. Living Blue in Texas also calls for Scott Henry to leave his position before hurting students in the district.

The CyFair community should stand up against the hate and intolerance sitting on the school board. Show up, have your voice heard. This is 2022, and Scott Henry’s ideology doesn’t represent Texas.

Remember to vote

K&R, Shell_Seas.
This is a clear warning to every school board election in every State.

sears don't affect then, so they often don't vote in the "Small" elections. Not true. A school board seat gives these nut jobs a platform to be heard. Some day children affected will be voting age. We need to do better for impressionable youth.

This asshole deserved to lose his job

The Cypress Fairbanks ISD trustee at the center of a viral video in which he linked Black teachers to poor school performance is out of a job, according to Splunk.

Splunk, which is an IT company, shared the news of Scott Henry no longer being an employee in response to a tag on Twitter.

"Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core to Splunk's values and mission. We are deeply committed to DEI and take these concerns seriously. Due to the privacy of any individuals involved, we do not discuss specific employee matters," Splunk wrote. "We viewed the employee's conduct as inconsistent with who we are as Splunkers and the individual is no longer employed by our company.

According to LinkedIn, Henry was a sales engineer manager with the company.
