What Are The Good Guys' Chances If Greg Abbott Loses The Primary?

It looks like Greg might have trouble getting the nod from the Texas GOP (Gathering Of Psychotics) this year if Huffhines and the ringer Rick Perry take enough votes away from him.

My question is: what would Beto’s chances for beating right-wing extremist and Florida carpet-bagger Allen West successfully primaries Abbott?

Can we hope that we’ll FINALLY see a Democrat in the Governor’s Mansion?

It would be the greatest of ironies if an extremist like Abbott wasn’t extreme enough for the Texas Republicans. Normally, Texas Republicans could nominate a bottle of ketchup and still win an election, but the big freeze of last year exposed Republican incompetence, and dulled their shine. Plus, Texas currently has no bright shining stars in its Washington delegation to lend star power to a Republican statewide campaign. Who would they get? Cruz? Gohmert?

Beto is still the underdog by a wide margin, but no longer an insurmountable one if Abbott loses the nomination.

I am staying in Texas to take care of my elderly parents. If they pass before me, I have no other reason to stay in this state.

Psychopaths". I'm sure there are many other applicable terms but I don't think words
alone will help us out in Texas. If we can hope to see a Democratic Governor in Texas
why not hope for Democrats at every level of State Government? Time will tell.

Back when Dubya was President, I still thought that a few Republicans still had some gossamer-thin connections to reality even though I thought (and still think) that they are profoundly wrong on issues across the board). I have since come to believe that those remaining threads have been severed.

The Gathering of Psychotics may share certain collective delusions—but these delusions have little to do with the real world.
