What strange weather today

Was gray and windy, then lots of thunder and lightening storms, tornado watches, flood warnings/watch etc. Now it's 62 and the sun is starting to shine. No damage here but some other areas had a bit and looks like flooding may happen in other areas.

I promised myself last year that I was never going to bitch about it raining.

We had a tornado touch down here in central Texas. No one was hurt but there was property damage.

Update on damage from tornado in Northeast Austin

4 p.m. update: At Commercial Park Drive in Northeast Austin, the tornado ripped through several businesses there, turning one building inside out, ripping up roofs, knocking down walls and throwing air-conditioning units into the roadway.

Officials said Aztec Marking Co. at 5100 Commercial Park Drive in Northeast Austin was destroyed and the nearby National Trench Safety building was severely damaged. Four buildings belonging to LTD Materials were also heavily damaged, officials said. No injuries were reported.

Quite a few power outages were reported too. Even with the flooding this did absolutely nothing to alleviate the drought conditions or help restore the lake levels.
