Northam encourages Virginians to stay away from the unvaccinated as COVID-19 cases surge
RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) — Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam says the current influx of COVID-19 cases is a reason for concern, but not for panic.
Northam highlighted vaccinations as a way for individuals to protect themselves and those they care about from the new omicron variant.
"The data are clear: Nearly everyone going to the hospital with COVID is unvaccinated," a statement from Northam reads. "This is entirely avoidable if everyone gets their shots."
