!!! If you cast a "provisional ballot" for Shelly Simonds (94th) or Joshua Cole for Delegate (28th)

Tuesday, PLEASE go to your local registrar by Monday at noon to verify your vote!! Both of these races are within 90 votes of winning. Please, please, please!

If you're not in Virginia, please share this widely! We're only a few votes away from flipping the House!

PLEASE share this - we need to get this out - Even if you don't live in that district.

I will reach out to them and let them know. By the way, to pat ourselves on the back, a lot of us blue state MDers have been working in VA to turn it blue!

Per a friend in the city:

Stafford County Registrar Greg Riddlemoser has thrown out over 1000 absentee ballots on a technicality. He has also refused to release the names of provisional voters in defiance of the State Board of Elections order.

Washington Post has been contacted as has NBC4.

I personally reached out to Dave Wasserman at the Cook Political Report and Benjamin Tribbet -- both of whom were intrumental in making sure Herring's recount was done properly a few years ago.

If anyone knows of a lawyer, let's get a judge to clear this up!

...but I'm not seeing this on any news or Twitter feed; just a request for a recount. If this was a serious issue, I'd expect the candidate or the Party to bring it up,

It looks like the absentees are preserved -- So far, it looks like 15-20 are being thrown out. Still trying to get confirmation that they are being counted.

I have a feeling that this call out means they are, but I am still looking for further confirmation.

The provisional ballots are still an issue. Lawyers are going there to make sure the votes that need to be counted are counted.

As you posted in your OP, it is REALLY important (as tomorrow as all offices are closed for Veterans day in the count)that EVERYONE calls on Monday to make sure the votes are counted.

Hello,

For all of these recount/close races, it would be best to NOT call UNLESS they are a provisional voter. This is not like Congress. Jamming the phones might be counter-productive since it could prevent lawyers for the campaigns from reaching the registrars. If you are a provisional voter or know someone that is, please message me for info on how to contact the campaigns immediately; the campaigns have help standing by for them. Their votes could help decide these elections.
