Health officials believe Washington state will hit its COVID-19 outbreak peak in about three weeks.
Kath Lofy, the state's health officer, expects the highest number of coronavirus cases in Washington state to occur around April 19.
"We know the more people we test the higher the numbers will be," Lofy said.
Lofy said the peak-estimate is based on new modeling done by the University of Washington Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluations.

We'll see soon enough is that's true or not.

(261 posts)She lives outside of Spokane. I spoke to her on Sunday, and she told me that she had been extremely sick since Friday. I told her that she needed to get tested, as my son-in-law who works in a care facility in Tacoma had been sick and was awaiting his test results. She got tested Monday morning, and they called her this morning. Needless to say, I am worried sick. She is 70 and has bad asthma. Fortunately, she has been using her Nebulizer daily to help with her breathing. She stressed and a friend who is a nurse also stressed the importance of having a Nebulizer available in your home if you have asthma. My sister said it hit her fast. Thursday she was fine and Friday she could barely function. My husband, son, and 6-year-old grandson are all asthmatics. My husband is ordering a Nebulizer today and my son promised me he would get one.
Take care everyone. It appears this can happen to you or a loved one.
