What Gov. Inslee's new eased restrictions mean for Seattle restaurants, bars

Good news for many of Washington's bars, restaurants and breweries came on Tuesday, as Gov. Jay Inslee loosened restrictions on those currently in Phase 2 and Phase 3 of Washington's "Safe Start" plan.

During the news conference, Inslee said he was "pleased" to say the state's efforts were showing progress - introducing new guidelines, effective immediately, as Washingtonians have continued to wear masks and socially distance.

Restaurants and bars in Phase 2 and Phase 3 counties will be able to increase capacity at tables, allowing up to six people per party in Phase 2 and eight people per party in Phase 3.

Referring to a CDC study, Inslee claimed the limit of five guests per table was ineffective.
