Two Seattle neighborhoods ranked among priciest in US for renters

Two Seattle neighborhoods made a new list of the priciest across the U.S. for people renting one-bedroom apartments.

The study, from Rent.com, ranked Wallingford and Northlake among the top five most expensive neighborhoods for one-bedroom rents per square foot.

The average price for a one-bedroom apartment in both neighborhoods was $6.43 per square foot, according to the study. Both neighborhoods have seen significant increases in rent prices.

Northlake likely has expensive rent prices due to its location, nearby "pretty much everything in Seattle," the study said.

I'd expect that Capitol Hill is probably close to the top of that list as well. Bellevue and Redmond are about as bad.
