Planning on renting in Seattle and driving to work (supposedly opposite direction of work traffic). Does this sound like the way to go? And is their any other advice you can share that might be helpful?

(10,939 posts)Plus parking is almost impossible in the city. Will s/he be at the vmac? If so, there are areas southeast of there that are cheaper and still safe.

(8,749 posts)Look as far out as Marysville, Renton, Woodinville or even as far out as Bellingham depending on how long of a commute they are willing to make to offset rent costs.
