A rally was held Tuesday morning outside of the Starbucks headquarters in south Seattle as employees picketed and shared their demands to unionize.
A group of about 12 picketers called on Starbucks CEO Howard Shultz to stop union busting.
Among the group were Starbucks employees from Seattle and across the country.
Seattle city councilmember Kshama Sawant backs the movement, calling on the city council to back her resolution to condemn the union-busting efforts of the company.

Two more Seattle Starbucks stores file for union elections
Workers at two more Seattle Starbucks (Nasdaq:SBUX) stores have filed for union elections, and now the nationwide effort to unionize the Seattle-based coffee giant has a new ally: City Councilmember Kshama Sawant.
On Tuesday, workers from the Fifth Avenue and Pike Street store and Westlake Avenue drive-thru location joined Sawant and other labor organizers outside of Starbucks' corporate headquarters in the Sodo neighborhood, demanding that the company recognize the union elections.
In December, the Starbucks store at Broadway and Denny on Capitol Hill became the first Seattle location to file for a union election. Across the country, dozens of others have done the same.
"It is a behemoth of a corporation," Sawant told supporters outside of Starbucks' corporate headquarters. "If Starbucks workers succeed in building a union, and not just building a union but winning a fair contract, this will be nothing short of an earthquake. It will be unprecedented in the fast food industry and the first successful union drive of this giant scale in the private sector in decades."
