Serial killer gets second life sentence.
As I sat in a courtroom in Vancouver, Washington last Friday, February 17th, 2023, I listened to Superior Court judge Robert Lewis sentence Warren Forrest, 73, to life for the killing of 17 year old Martha Morrison in 1974.
He has been in prison since 1974 after being convicted of killing another teenager, Krista Blake
He has been considered for parole on the first conviction: the second one insures that he will never get out
Forrest is suspected in the killings if several other young women in the 70's; my connection to this case is with the sister of one of these other victims, Jamie Grissim. My wife and I were there in support of Jamie's sister, Starr Lara, who has been seeking justice for Jamie for almost 50 years.
It was a good day.
