Avalanche warning in effect for mountain passes; Nearly 10K customers without power in the lowlands

Winter weather is rolling through western Washington. Up in the Cascades, the roads are icy and dicey, while avalanche warnings are in place for both Stevens and Snoqualmie passes until 6 p.m. Monday

In the lowlands, it will be rainy, with Wind Advisories in effect starting at 6 p.m. for most of Western Washington.

Thousands of customers are without power due to gusty winds across western Washington.

Here are the latest outages as of 5:10 p.m. Wednesday:

Puget Sound Energy: 5,777 customers impacted.

Seattle City Light: 182 customers impacted.

Snohomish PUD: 3,903 customers impacted.

Passing through here. We have had avalanche warnings for some time now, It's only getting worse as we keep getting thaws in between cold spells.
