AG Ferguson charges Eastern Wash. judge with rape, sexual assault

Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson on Thursday charged an Eastern Washington superior court judge with rape and other sexual misconduct crimes.

Judge Scott Gallina was accused of raping, assaulting and harassing women working at the Asotin County Superior Courthouse since 2014. He is charged with second-degree rape, indecent liberties and fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation, charging papers said.

The Washington State Patrol received information on April 1 from the Asotin

County Sheriff's Office about multiple reports of sexual misconduct at the courthouse, probable cause documents said. After the county's internal investigation, WSP was asked to perform an investigation.

3. I am aghast

How can someone like that impartially rule on the numerous sex crime cases coming before him? Or the civil cases involving sexual harassment and sex discrimination? I hope the presiding judge of the court has enough sense not to assign him to any cases while he is awaiting trial.
