As an Independent, he got .57% of the vote.

I don't see any records of civic/political engagement that would fill in the blanks.

I have no doubt he is intelligent and committed but his experience in managing a behemoth organization like State Government is lacking...

I'll reserve judgement and see what he does over the next month or two.
