Another one bites the dust. Walker aid Tim Russell to be arraigned on theft charges this morning.

http://www.bluecheddar.net/?p=18670

The 48-year-old is accused of stealing more than $21,000 between 2006 and 2009 from a nonprofit organization that Walker asked him to lead. The charges came as part of an ongoing criminal investigation centered on people who served in county government during Walker’s tenure as executive.

...

Russell allegedly took over $20,000 in 2009 and 2010 from the Heritage Guard Preservation Society (HGPS) account for his personal account. The HGPS was formed in 2004 to preserve historical and cultural artifacts and properties. Russell would use the embezzled funds for Caribbean and Hawaiian vacations, a political trip to Atlanta to work on a presidential campaign, and to repay funds formerly taken from an account affiliated with Chris Kujawa. More on that including the criminal complaint is at Revelations on Walkergate: 3 former Scott Walker aides charged for theft, fraud, child enticement

Note: Timothy Russell also allegedly set up a secret 3G network to offer an alternate mode of communication separate from that provided by Milwaukee County IT. That network was used by Darlene Wink and Kelly Rindfleisch (as well as other staff close to Scott Walker) for both campaign work and official county work. For more on Wink and Rindfleisch including criminal complaints, see Walkergate Updates: A shady land deal witnessed, 6 people charged, a Secret 3G Network, More

The union staff at the Graybar Hotel looks forward to Governor Walker and associates stays.

Scuba, someone posted a poll that showed a lot of support to reelect Walker. It was a WI television or radio or newspaper type of thing, but I don't remember what it was exactly.

So I just want to ask you again for your sense of how the recall will go? I know that since I'm focused on all the negative stuff coming out about Walker, I assume that's how it's playing out. (I did that with Biden, too, and honestly thought he'd come in second in Iowa and had a chance to become the nominee! ) So I understand that it's easy to convince myself of what I want to believe.

Also, is this stuff marching up to Walker's door -- will be be implicated do you think?

Polish off your crystal ball and get back to me.

.. won over any critics.

If we were to have an election under the old rules, Walker would get crushed. The new voter suppression law and other Republican dirty tricks means we have to work hard and get everyone on our side to the polls if we're going to win.

I'm pretty damn confident we will win at least one of the four Senate seats up for recall, thereby flipping the senate to Democratic control.

Don't be surprised if the law doesn't get him before any recall election can be held.
