Cheetoman heading to Milwaukee Thursday
President Donald Trump is planning to visit Milwaukee Thursday to deliver a speech on the economy. Over the weekend, sources told the Journal Sentinel that the the Trump team had been scouting locations ahead of the planned visit, and were considering places like State Fair Park and the Harley-Davidson Museum.
The president is expected to highlight manufacturing in the Milwaukee speech, CNN reported Monday. Trump was last in Wisconsin in December, when he held a "thank you" tour stop at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Exposition Center. It will be Trump's first trip to Wisconsin since taking office.
Trump is scheduled to attend the National Prayer Breakfast at the Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., on Thursday morning — an annual event hosted by the U.S. Congress and The Fellowship Foundation.
His Wisconsin stop comes amid confusion and backlash over the executive order he released Friday, which temporarily banned refugees and travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries. Trump was the first Republican presidential candidate to win the popular vote in Wisconsin since 1984.
